I am looking for a price check on a John Deere 59" front mount snowblower for the JD 4400. Ironically, I can find no model number ID for this. Any and all inputs would be appreciated. Thanks in advance, Bob.

$3600!?! A local dealer just quoted me the following: $2150 for 80" blower and $1795 for a 74" blower for my JD. Granted they were not JD blowers, but thats a lot of dough for the green paint...in the case of a blower, is the green really necessary? Seems to me there is not that much that can go wrong with a blower, very few moving parts.Just my two cents.... ....

Have used the 59" front blower on both a 955 and a 4400 tractor. This is a nice setup and will really throw snow. The advantage to having the thing in front is that you don't have to look behind all the time. On long or curving drives this is really a drag. This blower really throws the snow. 40 to 50 ft regardless of the density, slop or powder. That is my 2 cents. ....

Turfman, thanks for the words of encouragement. My new blower should arrive this week. I have a bit of concern regarding plowing a gravel driveway (since that is what I still have since I spent all my money on a new 4400, etc and no money left for asphalt !). There are several posts regarding throwing gravel and not being able to adjust the JD 59 inch blower. What has been your experience ?? Thanks in advancethe NW PA snow belt - Bob ....
